Common questions before you install
How long does the initial import take?
Most stores complete backfill in minutes to a few hours, depending on order volume. You can keep working while it runs in the background.
Does Compass write anything back to Shopify?
No. The integration is read-only for your store data. Compass never edits orders, customers, or products in Shopify.
What happens to customers who have not consented?
Consent state is imported from Shopify as-is. Customers without marketing consent are excluded from campaign sends automatically.
Can I connect more than one store?
Yes. Multiple Shopify stores resolve into shared profiles, so a customer who buys from two of your stores is a single person in Compass.
What if I uninstall?
Compass listens for the app/uninstalled webhook and stops syncing immediately. You can request deletion of imported data at any time.
